2. What data this website processes

This website is designed to be minimal. By default, it does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Data is processed only when you actively provide it.

• Contact form data: name, email, optional company, topic, and the message you type.
• Technical logs (hosting): depending on the hosting provider, server logs may include IP address, timestamp, requested page, and user agent for security and troubleshooting.
• Cookie preference: your choice (“Accept” or “Essential only”) is stored locally in your browser.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to inquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — pre-contractual measures) and/or (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in communication).
• Website security and operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest).
• Consent-based processing for contacting you based on your request (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

4. Recipients and processors

If you configure a third-party form endpoint (e.g., Formspree/Netlify forms) or host on a platform provider, that provider may process data as a processor. In that case:

• choose providers with appropriate GDPR safeguards,
• conclude a data processing agreement (DPA) where required,
• document the provider and data flow here.

If no form endpoint is configured, the contact form opens your email client (mailto:) and the message is sent through your email provider.

5. Data retention

Inquiry messages are retained only as long as necessary to respond and for reasonable documentation of business communication. As a default guideline: up to 12 months, unless legal obligations require longer retention. You can request deletion at any time (see “Your rights”).

6. International transfers

If your hosting or form provider is outside the EEA, personal data may be transferred internationally. In that case, ensure an appropriate transfer mechanism (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and disclose it here.

7. Your rights

You have the right to request access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing (Arts. 15–21 GDPR). You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Germany, this is typically the authority of your federal state.
